Hello everyone !
First of all, I would like to take time to show my support and offer my sincere condolences to the families who have lost someone they cherished on the ferry in South Korea. I know none of them will ever read this, but the thoughts and energy put into expressing it is important.
Secondly, I know most of the shows, concerts, etc. have been canceled due to the national mourning going on, so you guys might feel a little thirsty for kpop. Sadly, I won’t help. This week is my week back to work and, I must be honest, I was in a bit of a slump. To try to “feel better”, I went to an improvised trip to Ireland to visit my best friend who lives in Dublin. While being there, I had some time to think.
No, I’m not stopping this blog, don’t worry.
I’m just taking this week off. I need to get organized, to get my projects back on track, to have some ‘me’ time, and I feel like making outfit is just one thing I can check off the long to-do list without too much worry.
You guys have been so supportive, through comments on my outfits, through messages and fan mail, that I feel like you will understand if I just take a little break to get my footing back.
I know some of you may have asked some time sensitive questions so I’ll put in my list to try to have a look at them before it is too late, but bear with me.
On this note, I hope all of you had a great easter weekend, and I wish you all a great week !
The shorts in the picture and the link are not exactly the same. Same color but the shorts on the link had more sizes available.
hi, what are your favorite dr. martens? can i see the link? also, could you give links to your favorite mid-length sweaters? thanks!
My favorite Dr. Martens are the lace up boots of the 1460 collection similar to this pair. I think the color I own was discontinued but it’s a purple-almost-blue color (I think the official name is Blueberry purple), from around 3 years ago. I wear them…a lot. I also own a pair of 1461 W in black, that you can find here. I wear them less often, it’s kind off my “I need to dress properly but you can’t take the boots side of me away”. To be honest, I own about 4 pairs of heavy duty boots and I wear them from October to May. Basically, when the weather isn’t warm enough. I drive a motorcycle so, they’re very much needed, plus they are very comfortable. (I must say, if you buy a pair of Dr. Martens, it’s very likely that they will feel tight for a while on your feet. You’ll need about 2 weeks to break them in. Personally, I just wore big socks to ease the stitching up. The pain is totally worth it ! I also know that they are a bit pricier, I bought my first pair as a congratulation gift to myself for getting good grades in University (I do that…yeah…) and I received the second as my birthday present from my parents, I do understand that they don’t come cheap…but they last loooooooooong. Like forever long. Mine are almost three years old now and they are just perfect !)
The sweater I featured earlier this week (the Bunny) comes from Korea but I bought it at a convention from a vendor called “Lady Gadget”, if you live in France or Belgium, there’s plenty of chances you would find her store a conventions near you. You can find sweaters in the same style on line, at shops like YesStyle or Rakuten by example. I would recommend not to go over 30euro for one, because I know they sell them for cheaper on line, and at conventions, they will often try to sell them around 50euro.
I also wear hoodies from David&Goliath. They are not exactly particularly long but they are worth mentioning for the cute designs. By example, I own this design on a sweater and my friends call it “The Hangover Sweater” :’D
I also like to wear long cardigans that you can find at stores like H&M. They are comfortable, you just need jeans, a t-shirt and you put it on, and it’s like “I was so lazy, but I look like I dressed up”. I mean, it’s like wearing a blanket but without looking like you are wearing a blanket. Throw a cool scarf in there to add some style and warmth if it’s still chilly.
I think this was the laziest styling I’ve ever posted. All about comfort and warmth ! Makes me sleepy ahaha ^^
I hope it answered your questions,
Could you please do an outfit based on hyuna's change music video
You can find one here. I rewatched the mv, just in case, but the fashion in it is probably the least inspiring possible to me. Sorry ^^’
BoA - Eat You Up look please? :) Xx
You can find one here.
Hope you’ll like it,
Helllooo! I just wanted to ask, what would you wear to school on a cold day? Hopefully no heels cause I just got some blisters today from wearing heeled boots :-( Like, a super comfy outfit? THANK YOU! Love your blog by the way XD
If it’s a cold day and I’m too lazy to make any sort of effort, I just wear jeans with a sweater (I like one with funny prints on them like dinosaurs and bunnies), long enough to be like mid-tight length, and a pair of boots (my Dr. Martens, always) but you can wear sneakers too. I put my hair up in a bun (my hair is really long so, it just keep it out of the way), and I wear minimal makeup (bbcream + brow stuff + eye liner + mascara).
That’s what I’m wearing today actually…
Eheh, so fashionable :’)
Have a nice day ! ^-^
Do u know any other blogs that have inspired outfits ? Or any fashion blogs that u like ?
I don’t really follow any blog that makes kpop inspired outfits (as in, similar to this blog), but I do follow kworldstyle, where they post about the pieces the idols wear (brands, prices, etc.)
I do follow fasion blogs such as Fyfashioncouture, tokyo-fashion, Rebelheartscouture, 130186, ohmykfashion, Yes-asianstreet, Seoul-Souls and K-styled. I think I follow more than these but…I follow a lot of blogs that have nothing to do with fashion as well ^^’
I don’t read any fashion magazines on a regular basis.
